What is Mother Id?
Id, in Freudian psychoanalytic theory, is one of the three agencies of the human personality, along with the ego and superego. The id (Latin for “it”) is oblivious of the external world and unaware of the passage of time. According to Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalytic theory of personality, the id is the personality component made up of unconscious psychic energy that works to satisfy basic urges, needs, and desires.
Mother Id is what I call that part of my mind where creativity is given full rein and freedom. Unrestrained and uninhibited by the Super Ego and all that is not our pure primordial self. The birth-giver of the art, music, photography, and video shared on this site.
