Lethe – Gestation (Video)

Gestation. Model: Lethe

In the secret realm where life begins

A dance of cells, a symphony within.

Embryo, a whisper in the cosmic tide

A metamorphosis, where mysteries abide.

In the womb’s embrace, a canvas bare

The alchemy of existence, beyond compare.

A journey unfolds in the silent night

From the spark of creation to the dawn of light.

Tiny tendrils weave tales untold

A waltz of genes in a mystical fold.

In the sacred cocoon of maternal grace

Life emerges, a delicate embrace.

A pulse of potential, a heartbeat’s start

An ode to life, a masterpiece of art.

The embryo’s ballet, a cosmic rhyme

A miracle unfolding, transcending time.

Cells divide, a cosmic ballet

A choreography of life in a graceful array.

Limbs form, a sculptor’s sweet refrain

A transformation, a celestial gain.

Oh, embryonic symphony, celestial ball

In the cradle of creation, where wonders enthrall.

A dance of life, a poetic grace

In the earliest stages, a sublime embrace.

As the embryo awakens, a star is born

A testament to the cosmic morn.

In the tapestry of being, a story takes flight

A metamorphosis, a journey to the light.

Olinka Lickova – Ice Queen

By Fantasy, Goddesses, Home, Nature au Naturel

Olinka – Ice Queen. Model: Olinka Lickova @na5tyninja

Olinka,
naked beneath the bear skin’s coarse embrace,
a whisper of life on the frozen lake’s glass,
her form etched against the tundra’s pale breath.

The wind howls,
but it cannot reach her;
the ice cracks,
but it does not break.
She stands, a beacon of warmth
in a world that swallows light.

Her gaze, ancient and knowing,
meets the cold with quiet defiance.
It speaks of fires unseen,
embers nestled deep in the heart.
In her eyes,
a promise:
even here,
life endures.

Olinka,
the solace in the struggle,
the warmth within the frozen waste.

Honestly, I cannot say what the inspiration for this was, or what it is, or what it’s supposed to mean, or even why it should exist. Almost none of my work starts out as a concept, an idea taking form in the realm of words or intended meaning or purpose. This, like so much of my work, just springs forth my subconscious, much like a dream. One of my goals with Mother Id is to practice tapping into the wellspring of creative energy that lies beneath our conscious rational mind. Art does not have to make sense. It just is–like the universe. The only meanings are those we create. When I create some art, it’s usually only after its creation that I contemplate it and find meaning–meaning for myself that is; it might have different meaning for someone else, or no meaning at all. Maybe it serves as a visual metaphor for something and illuminates that something for us in a way that we did not otherwise see. Or maybe it evokes a feeling that we might not otherwise feel. To me, encountering art like this is like getting plopped down in some alien world. And though we may have questions and seek explanations, there are no manuals or teachers to provide answers. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this freaky, what-the-fuck-is-it, image, and I am sorry I cannot provide more insight about what it is and what it means. If I think of something I will let you know.
